Event Report - Linking London Friday News Round (April)

Our monthly round up of what's been going on, as well as a look ahead to what’s coming up helps our partners keep tabs on all the key things that are going on in the world of education.

Our ever-popular Friday News Round – updating partners on developments in the education sector – started with a brief cover of recent news headlines, including the resignation of the skills minister Robert Halfon, and the delay to the LLE roll out.

We then summarised 15 (!) reports published by the AoC in April, we covered debates on reasonable adjustments for disabled students, and we discussed a recent study on double disadvantage of state-school students.

We also updated colleagues on apprenticeships and T Levels news, and we touched on the UUK’s campaign exploring the experience of first-generation graduates.

Feedback from attendees at our News Round events has been really positive:

“Great digest of what is happening in the world of education.” University colleague

“It allowed me to acquire lots of relevant information in a short time.” College colleague

“Very useful overview of all the latest reports and initiatives in HE.” College colleague

The next Friday News Round will take place on May 24. You can book your place here.
