Dr Lisa McEntee-Atalianis Leads UN Workshop

The departments Dr Lisa McEntee-Atalianis, who researches language policy and practice at the United Nations, recently led a workshop at the UN Headquarters New York.

The Workshop on Implementation of Multilingualism and Applicable Challenges Facing the UN in New York hosted by The UN Department for General Assembly and Conference Management (DGACM), was led by Lisa McEntee-Atalianis to support the Secretariat of the organisation in its implementation of multilingualism and the applicable challenges facing its work. The workshop was introduced by the Under-Secretary-General Catherine Pollard (UN Secretariat-wide Coordinator for Multilingualism) who delivered opening remarks and welcomed scholars and many Secretariat representatives to a lively discussion on multilingualism at the United Nations.
