In Summer 2020 the JUST AI project commissioned a group of authors and   poets to produce short pieces of near-future fiction to challenge and expand current ways of thinking about our AI and data-infused lifeworlds.

The authors have been matched with leading experts in the field to inspire their creative process in envisioning alternatives and questioning the status quo.

On Wednesday the 3rd of March JUST AI will host a public event to present two of those short stories, 'Bootstrap Heaven' by Tania Hershman, and 'Poppins' by Adam Marek.

After the readings, there will be an open discussion between the authors and Dr Yasemin J. Erden, philosopher of technology at Twente University, and members of the Squirrel Nation artist collective, chaired by JUST AI director Alison Powell.
