Goldman Sachs and Birkbeck are offering ten £5,000 per year scholarships to eligible undergraduate students in a bid to increase diversity in finance and related fields.
Vodafone has joined forces with Birkbeck, University of London’s corporate partner, The Access Group Foundation, to improve connectivity access for 250 deserving Birkbeck students.
The students were graduating from the Help to Grow management course, a twelve-week course designed to give students new insight and practical capabilities in digital marketing, strategy, leadership, innovation, responsible business and financial management.
The study was jointly conducted by Birkbeck, University of London, Henley Business School, University of Reading, and the international non-profit organisation, 4 Day Week Global.
Results, published this week, capture the views of final year undergraduates and reflect positively on teaching and the overall student experience at Birkbeck.
Students from the university’s Diversity 100 programme highlighted the need for more effective networking with a focus on opportunities for underrepresented groups to channel diverse perspectives and bring their research to the fore.
The grant of £430,020 has been awarded by the Leverhulme Trust and will fund a four-year research project.
