You are invited to attend a briefing session on student visa monitoring specifically looking at doctoral students.
The aim of the session is to:
- clarify the legal framework and Birkbeck policies regarding attendance monitoring for students on Student visa for supervisors
- describe the internal processes for monitoring attendance to ensure compliance with regulations
- outline the implications of non-attendance or lack of attendance data, focusing on how it affects students
- to be as transparent as possible, to explain why we are required to monitor attendance, what happens and who is involved.
During the session there will be chances for you to ask questions and make suggestions about what else would be useful to include.
