This Teams event is arranged by the FDA trade union and Birbeck University in partnership with the Civil Service Fast Stream.
It is open to all (including students from other Universities as guests). You will hear speakers who are currently on the Civil Service Fast Stream and other graduate entry Civil Service programmes as well as Deri Bevan, the Head of Organising and Learning for the FDA union. They will explain what the fast stream is, and why it presents an opportunity for all graduates whatever your economic or cultural background.
If you wish to, you will be able to sign up to be mentored by a current civil servant who not so long ago was a student considering their own application – and you will find out about skills sessions designed to help you with navigating the application process.
You will also be able to access skills events to help you understand Civil Service processes. This event, mentoring and skills sessions are all FREE ( funded by the FDA trade union).
