At our last Access to HE Diploma practitioner group meeting of this academic year we will be exploring the latest Access news and developments, both within London and nationally, hearing about the latest research on external moderation and shining the spotlight on good and poor HE admissions practice for Access applicants.

At the meeting will be hearing from a senior colleague from the QAA who will be outlining their work in this space, including the review of the licencing criteria and monitoring for AVAs, International Access and plans going forward.

Partners will then be hearing from Marisa Castellini, Head of Access to HE at OCN London, who will be updating the group on the latest OCN London news and developments.

Following a round table part update, we will be hearing from Sarah Francis, Access to HE Standards Co-ordinator at OCN London, who will be sharing some of the outcomes from her research into how moderators in a community context (as on the Access to HE Diploma) make decisions.

And finally, following on from Linking London’s recently published guide for HE admissions staff on making fair and meaningful offers, we plan to share our review of entry requirements for Access applicants for 2025 entry, including comparisons with 2024 data.

This meeting is aimed at college Access teaching staff and heads of department, student support service staff and careers advisers, as well as university outreach and admissions staff, but anyone with an interest in Access to HE Diploma developments is very welcome to attend.

Please note this is for Linking London Partners only.
