At our third Linking London IAG Practitioner Group meeting of 2023/24, aimed at careers advisers, student support staff, tutors/teachers and university outreach and admissions staff, we will be hearing from a representative from Springpod on their free online programmes for students and receive updates from the Student Loans Company. At the meeting we will also be sharing our analysis of higher and degree apprenticeship opportunities in London.
On the 18th Jo Bishop, Schools and Colleges Outreach Lead from Springpod will be outlining their free online experiences of both work and university alongside opportunities to explore pathways including T Levels, Apprenticeships and Higher Technical Qualifications. Ben Rutter, Funding Information Partners Accounts Manager at the Student Loans Company, will also be sharing the latest HE Finance news with attendees. We will also be hearing from Joe Sampson, Widening Participation Manager at Point Blank Music School, who will be providing an overview of their curriculum offer and outreach work with schools and colleges.
Dr Jakub Kowalewski, Partnership Officer at Linking London, will then be providing an overview of higher and degree apprenticeship opportunities in Greater London, including the total number of apprenticeship vacancies available, as well as breakdowns by sector, salary, duration and entry requirements.
And last but not least, we will also be providing an opportunity for colleagues to network as well as share news and updates via our round table item.
Meetings are aimed at Careers Advisers, Teachers and University Outreach & Admissions Staff but are open to any staff at partner institutions who are interested in IAG relating to HE progression.
