At our first T Level Practitioner Group meeting of the new academic year, Chaired by Sultan Soukani, Assistant Principal, at HRUC, we be reflecting on the summer T Level results, finding out more about the latest T Level news, including T Level rollout and exploring in detail the current picture in terms of HE entry requirements and progression to HE. Attendees will hear from a range of contributors, including awarding bodies and stakeholders and of course from colleagues themselves, who are delivering T Levels in their college, or providing outreach support for learners interested in going on to HE.

David Pautsch, Senior Development Manager at Pearson will be providing an overview of this summer’s T Level results, the latest developments at Pearson and a look forward to what next in the year ahead.

Our round table update will follow, which will provide an opportunity for our college and university partners to share news and developments as well as any issues faced, for discussion. The Education and Training Foundation will also be updating the group on their latest news and offer to colleges.

We will also be hearing from Alison Whittle, Post 16 Technical Adviser at City & Guilds who will be providing an update on T Level developments from a C&G perspective, as well as sharing the key findings from the launch in September of a new resource aimed at staff and students, in the areas of engineering and business and administration. The resource, developed by Alison, provides a detailed overview of the HE progression opportunities from these two T Levels to support learners make informed decisions.

Colleagues at Linking London will then share the headlines from our mapping of T Level entry requirements for 16 HE subject areas at over 50 universities. This will be followed by group discussion exploring how collectively we can work improve the current picture in terms of the clarity of HE entry requirements for T Level learners.

This practitioner group provides a unique opportunity to bring together our colleges, schools, universities, awarding body partners and key stakeholders, to explore T Level developments and explore areas for collaboration, and is aimed at both colleagues engaged in T Levels as well as anyone with an interest in finding out more about this new qualification.
