Busayo Abidakun, Recruitment Officer for Unlocked Graduates

Busayo spends most of his time works as a Recruiter for Unlocked Graudates. He’s been working in recruitment for three year and is passionate about helping people find opportunities to work in jobs where they can make a positive difference in society. Before this he worked in the Charity sector and in service design.

Hardeep Aiden, Senior Research Associate, Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC)

Hardeep leads the EHRC's research on justice and personal security issues, working closely with the Ministry of Justice and other organisations in the justice sector. He is currently focusing on access to justice and conditions of detention.

Nathan Dick, Ministry of Justice

Senior policy and stakeholder manager for the Probation Programme at the Ministry of Justice

Nathan has worked in criminal justice for over 15 years. His experience covers: caseworker, probation management, supporting charities, the inspectorate of probation services, and he is now at the Ministry of Justice.

About Criminology Careers Events
Criminology Careers Events introduce students to criminology related employers and the opportunities and challenges involved in developing a career path. Events cover:

  • The practicalities of developing a career, from work experience to recruitment.
  • Themes relevant to criminology research and teaching, from criminal justice policy and practice to social and racial justice.

Each session lasts 90 minutes, and involves short talks from a panel of professionals who explain how they arrived at their current role. There is opportunity for group Q&A as well as informal 1-1 time with speakers. Events are an opportunity to socialise with peers in the department. Refreshments and snacks are provided.
