Navigating the R&R process in high IF journals

This is the first in a series of seminars on how to navigate the R&R process, where colleagues will discuss their experience of submitting and revising articles that have eventually been published in high IF journals.

In this online seminar, Prof Muthu de Silva and Dr Federica Rossi will present their views on successful R&R processes, focusing in particular on their experience of publishing articles in Research Policy and the British Journal of Management.

BIOGRAPHIES 

Muthu De Silva is a Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Birkbeck, University of London, UK. Her research contributes to our knowledge on co-creation. She has published in world-leading (ABS 4*/3*) journals such as  Research Policy, Journal of Organizational Behaviour, British Journal of Management, International Small Business Journal, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Journal of Business Research, Industrial Marketing Management, R&D Management, Technovation, International Business Review and Studies in Higher Education.

Muthu has secured major grants from Innovate UK, Intellectual Property Office, EU and British Academy/Leverhulme, OECD, and British Academy of Management. She is a fellow of Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce. Muthu is in the Editorial Board of the British Journal of Management. 

Dr Federica Rossi is a Reader in Innovation Policy and Management and has been a member of staff at Birkbeck since 2011, having first joined the college as a research fellow in 2007. My research interests are in the fields of science and technology policy, economics and management of intellectual property rights, innovation activities of firms and networks of firms, economics and governance of higher education. Federica has contributed to numerous research projects sponsored by, among others, OECD, UK Intellectual Property Office, World Intellectual Property Organization, Eurostat, British Academy/Leverhulme, Society for Research in Higher Education, British Academy of Management. She has authored numerous articles in highly ranked peer-reviewed journals including Research Policy, British Journal of Mangement, Industrial and Corporate Change, Cambridge Journal of Economics, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Studies in Higher Education, International Small Business Journal, Journal of Business Research. Federica has also published two books and contributed to numerous edited volumes.
