STUDY SKILLS SATURDAY: MAKING THE MOST OF YOUR LIBRARY RESOURCES (IN-PERSON EVENT)

When:
Venue: Birkbeck Main Building, Malet Street

Book your place

This workshop will take place in person at Birkbeck on 8th October as part of Study Skills Saturday.

This practical, introductory session will explain what library services are available to you as a student and how to use them. We will cover:

The basics of using the library
How to find books and ebooks
How to find journal articles on your reading lists
How to use databases to search find your own articles on a topic
The session will have several practical exercises to help you get into the practice of developing these essential skills and help you to get started on finding wider reading and independent research.

Please note: Some of the practical exercises will only be possible to complete in the session if you have completed enrolment, as you need to enroll before you can access the online library resources. We will be in a room with computers, but if you prefer to use your own laptop/device, that is also fine.
