This workshop will take place in person at Birkbeck on 8th October as part of Study Skills Saturday.
Get Ahead, Stay Ahead is a series of study skills and writing workshops, designed to help you prepare for university before the beginning of the academic year.
This workshop provides an overview of how to approach your essay or assignment. We will briefly consider:
· how to analyse the question or brief
· how to approach your research and reading
· how to create an essay plan and structure for your assignment
· how to tackle the first draft
The resources and recordings will be found after the workshops on the Birkbeck Study Skills Moodle module (student login required) in the Get Ahead, Stay Ahead Workshop Resources section.
This workshop will repeat on Tues 6th September, Weds 14th September, Thursday 29th September and Saturday 1st October (in person).
