Legal Practice Conversation Series: Simon Davis in Conversation with Daniel Monk

When:
Venue: Birkbeck Main Building, Malet Street

No booking required

The Legal Practice Conversation series aims to provide students with first-hand insight into how law works in practice – and an opportunity to ask a legal practitioner about careers in law.

At this event Simon Davis will be talking with Professor Daniel Monk about the day-to-day life of working as a solicitor. Part of the conversation will focus on the case of International Tennis Federation and World Anti-Doping Agency v Richard Gasquet (2009) before the Court of Arbitration for Sport. Simon acted for the tennis player in his appeal against a ban he had received for testing positive for cocaine.

Prior to attending the seminar it is recommended that you read the case, which can be accessed here.

Furthermore you can read a media story about the case here.
