Good Friends for a Lifetime introduce collage as a tool that can be used to inspire and support feminist, collaborative and non-hierarchical theatremaking processes. In-person.

This is a friendly, informal practical workshop run by Birkbeck alumni Good Friends for a Lifetime theatre company, which introduces you to our way of working. We use collage as a tool that can be used to inspire and support feminist, collaborative and non-hierarchical devised processes. Working collaboratively in small groups, you will begin to explore a new idea for a piece of work using collage as a dramaturgical tool. There will be opportunity for discussion, offering feedback, and discovering a new way of approaching theatre-making.

Lily Levinson, Maeve Campbell and Minna Jeffery are Good Friends. They make weird theatre about the kitsch, the cult and the camp. They offer an irreverent, feminist perspective on collective nostalgia and cultural memory. They develop dramaturgies that reflect our eclectic pop-culture influences. They’re political. They’re funny. They like to dance. They have been supported by Theatre Deli, Camden People’s Theatre and Birkbeck Centre for Contemporary Theatre. Good Friends are 2022 Associate Artists at Bathway Theatre, University of Greenwich.
