Join us for talks by two of Birkbeck’s distinguished leading academics about two former world-renowned members of staff to mark the launch of Useful Knowledge, a conference about Birkbeck’s history and the past, present and future of lifelong learning, organised as part of our 200th anniversary celebrations.
Biological scientist, Professor Carolyn Moores, will speak about Rosalind Franklin’s life and work at Birkbeck, and Sir Richard J Evans about Eric Hobsbawm’s career at the College. The event will be chaired by historian Professor Joanna Bourke.
