Fit to Burst presents Invisible Ink (Arts Weeks 2021)

Interactive online life drawing event and panel discussion of new digital project Invisible Ink exploring isolation and alienation, inspired by film noir.
 
Fit to Burst have been collaborating with students at Birkbeck to create an interactive, virtual, life drawing event on the themes of Film Noir and Neo Noir. 
 
Prompted by the pandemic crisis they have collaborated to explore the potential of combining movement, cinematic themes, and technology. Here their research tests the making of in a high quality online interactive drawing experience for audiences during the pandemic. Students have created their video content remotely using mobile phones. 
 
During this event you will be invited to draw from the student’s videos, share your artwork in an online gallery and take part in a panel discussion about the process. 
 
Invisible Ink is a new collaboration between Rebecca Tortora of Fit to Burst Theatre Company and Stephanie Osztreicher Movement. 
 
Rebecca Tortora and Stephanie Osztreicher are Lecoq-trained theatre makers and interdisciplinary practitioners working across film, theatre, and visual arts. 
 
Rebecca Tortora is a director, writer and performer and Artistic Director of  Fit to Burst; a small-scale theatre company that creates original shows, innovative participatory projects and surprising theatrical events. Fit to Burst combines magical realism, new writing, physical theatre, music, film and technology to tell contemporary stories. 
 
Stephanie Osztreicher is a movement director, teacher, performer, and life model with an MA in Movement from CSSD. She has worked and trained in Australia, Japan and Europe. She has an interest in intercultural theatre practice and the potential of creative, social and cultural exchanges movement can provide.
