On the eve of the re-opening of the nation's theatres, leading freelance theatre makers from Freelancers Make Theatre Work discuss the challenges faced by the theatre's workforce and the future of our theatre ecology.

One year on from the closing of the nation’s theatres, and on the eve of their re-opening, it feels more important than ever to have the challenges faced by the theatre's workforce articulated by the workforce. Following on from the publication of The Big Freelancer Report, a panel discussion with core members of Freelancers Make Theatre Work, including Athena Stevens, Leigh Toney, Andrew Whyment and Sally Wippman about the future of our theatre ecology and freelance workforce. A panel discussion of approximately 45 minutes will be followed by a Q&A with members of the audience.

Chair: Rob Swain (Birkbeck).
