On the 12th of November 2026, Dr Isabel Vansteenkiste, Principal Counsellor to the President and Coordinator of the Counsel to the Executive Board, European Central Bank, will deliver the BCAM Policy Talk. Her talk titled ‘Are global markets heading towards financial fragmentation? Implications for the international role of the euro’ will be a cross cutting presentation, covering where we see and don’t see financial fragmentation, what the consequences may be for the international monetary system and with some focus on an unresearched but key area: payment systems.
