Clear and accessible information on HE entry requirements is essential to help students make informed choices about their next steps. However, concerns have been raised by a number of organisations, including the DfE and UCAS, as well as by ministers, about the lack of clarity in the information available to T Level applicants.
Six years on from the introduction of T Levels, this event will explore the current picture for T Level learners looking to progress to higher education, drawing on Linking London’s latest mapping of 50 universities and more than 450 courses across 16 subject areas.
We will share the key findings from our latest report, including:
• what universities are asking for from T Level applicants;
• levels of acceptance across different subject areas;
• examples of clear and helpful admissions information;
• areas where information could be improved; and
• how the picture has developed since our first mapping of T Level entry requirements in 2022.
We will also share our recommendations for improving the availability and clarity of admissions information for T Level learners, alongside an update on Linking London’s work in this area.
The event will be of particular interest to school and college staff supporting T Level learners with their progression choices, as well as HE admissions, outreach and widening participation colleagues. Anyone with an interest in T Level progression to higher education is very welcome to attend.
