Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is one of the greatest global health challenges of our time. Join us at Birkbeck's School of Natural Sciences during World Antimicrobial Awareness Week (WAAW) 2026 for an exclusive taster session with Professor Sanjib Bhakta, an internationally recognised expert in infectious diseases and antimicrobial resistance.
This hybrid interactive session will begin with an introduction to studying Biological Sciences at Birkbeck, followed by a fascinating taster lecture exploring the challenges and innovations shaping the fight against infectious bacterial diseases. You'll also have the opportunity to ask Professor Bhakta your questions during a Q&A and discover what studying Biological Sciences at undergraduate level is really like.
Those that join us in person will have the opportunity to our central London campus, including our innovative Natural Sciences labs.
