Calling all Birkbeck students - becoming a barrister is an engaging and practical workshop designed to provide students with a clear introduction to the journey of becoming a barrister in England and Wales.
Delivered by All Things Bar (ATB), the session breaks down each stage of the Bar pathway, from academic study and Bar training to pupillage and career development.
Attendees will gain insight into the role of barristers, the importance of the Inns of Court, scholarship opportunities, and practical ways to build legal experience.
The session also aims to challenge misconceptions about the profession and widen access by offering guidance and support to students from all backgrounds, particularly those from underrepresented communities.
An interactive Q&A will give attendees the chance to ask questions and gain valuable advice on pursuing a career at the Bar.
