Our BGRS Welcome and Induction event is planned to take place on Tuesday 20 October, from the afternoon into the evening. This will be a great opportunity to mark the beginning of the new academic year and to bring together new and returning doctoral researchers from across the College.
We know that doctoral researchers have a wide range of study patterns and that not everyone is regularly on campus. However, whether you are studying part-time, balancing research with work or caring responsibilities, undertaking fieldwork or placements, or simply less often based in College, we would very much encourage you to hold this date and plan to attend.
The event is intended to help you feel connected to the wider doctoral research community at Birkbeck and to give you access to information, contacts and opportunities that will be useful throughout the year.
We will also hold a poster competition and accounce the winners of our Gwynne-Vaughan Medal competition.
