At our first Linking London IAG Practitioner Group meeting of 2026/27, aimed at careers advisers, student support staff, tutors/teachers and university outreach and admissions staff, we will be taking a close look at the latest UCAS updates for the 2027 entry cycle, exploring the latest on the Lifelong Learning Entitlement, as well as HE Finance and hearing from a university partner on their outreach offer for school sixth forms and colleges.
At this meeting we will also be providing opportunities for partners to share news and updates and hear from HE and FE partners on their outreach and CEIAG offer.
Attendees will be hearing from Ellie Rowley, Policy and Strategy Manager- Widening Access and Participation, who will be providing an overview of policy plans and developments and what’s new for 2027 entry.
A partner roundtable will follow, providing an opportunity for partners to share news and outreach event updates, as well as any challenges faced in providing IAG support to learners.
Following an overview from our partner UCL on their curriculum and outreach offer, we will be hearing from Ben Rutter, from the Student Loans Company, who will be updating the group on the latest HE Finance news, including the latest news on the lifelong Learning Entitlement.
And finally, at the meeting we will also updating the group on the very latest Linking London resources for staff and learners, that we have been working on over the summer break.
Meetings are aimed at Careers Advisers, Teachers and University Outreach & Admissions Staff but are open to any staff at partner institutions who are interested in IAG relating to HE progression.
