Dear colleagues and students,

As part of the Birkbeck Business School Research Seminar Series, jointly with the Birkbeck Accounting and Finance Research Seminar, we are delighted to host a hybrid research seminar by Dr Federica Rossi, Associate Professor of Economic Policy at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy.

Federica is also a former colleague at Birkbeck and is currently Deputy Director of the Centre for Innovation Management Research at Birkbeck.

The seminar will take place on Friday, 10 July 2026, from 12:00 to 1:00 pm UK time, in BCB 211 and online via Microsoft Teams.

About Dr Federica Rossi:

Federica Rossi has been with Birkbeck’s Management Department since 2011, having first joined the College as a research fellow in 2007. Previously, she held various research fellowships at universities in Italy. She has collaborated with the OECD, the World Intellectual Property Organization, the UK’s Strategic Advisory Board for Intellectual Property, the EC/Eurostat, and regional and local development agencies.

Her current research examines how universities can support business innovation, the role of universities as drivers of economic development and growth, the economics and management of intellectual property rights, and innovation policy. More recently, she has studied the impact of knowledge-transfer activities and metrics for performance measurement in knowledge transfer.
