The Birkbeck Politics Conference 2026, delivered in collaboration with The 100 Club, is a two-day careers and networking conference designed to connect students and recent graduates with professionals working across politics, public policy, public affairs, diplomacy, advocacy and government.

Taking place at Birkbeck, University of London on 2–3 July 2026, the conference aims to broaden understanding of the many pathways into political and policy careers while supporting social mobility through networking, professional development and direct access to industry leaders.

Across two evenings, attendees will engage with professionals from organisations including Nationwide Building Society, Ofwat, London & Partners, the UK Civil Service, the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), and the Gambian High Commission, alongside experts working in public affairs, policy, strategic communications, campaigning and diplomacy.

The conference programme combines a Politics Career Fair, expert panel discussions and interactive Q&A sessions, providing practical insights into career pathways, economic and political challenges facing young people, and the future of politics in an increasingly global and technology-driven world.

Whether attendees are interested in government, public affairs, policy development, diplomacy, campaigning or advocacy, the conference provides a unique opportunity to build connections, learn from experienced professionals and gain a clearer understanding of how to create impact through a career in politics and public service.
