Radical Inclusion & Disability arts: A Conversation with Flo O'Mahony, artistic director of Zoo Co

When:
Venue: Online

Book your place

Join us for an online conversation with Flo O’Mahony, artistic director of Zoo Co, about their production Perfect Show for Rachel, directed by Flo’s sister, Rachel. We will be discussing the process of creating this production, how her team created a way of working that not only accommodated her sister, who is learning disabled, but centered and celebrated her. With disabled performers facing numerous barriers to access, this conversation will stress the necessity of ‘radical inclusion’, what good inclusion really looks like, the work it involves, and ponder the question posed by Perfect Show for Rachel: Who are we currently not allowing to make art, and who gets to decide what art is perfect?

If you have any questions you would like to ask during the event, please email them to dmcint01@student.bbk.ac.uk
