Come and join us for our online Counselling and Counselling Skills CertHe Applicant/Offer Holder afternoon.
Our Counselling and Counselling Skills CertHe programme is a part of the Birkbeck Centre for Counselling.
You will have the opportunity to chat with our Programme Director Dr Esther Ramsay-Jones and find out more about the programme.
Esther is a practising psychodynamic psychotherapist and counsellor. She has worked in university counselling settings and in palliative care contexts, as well as in private practice. She facilitates reflective practice with nursing and allied healthcare teams in an end-of-life setting.
In this afternoon session you will spend some time thinking about the importance of relationships for emotional health and do an experiential session in ‘Building Connections’.
In our CertHe course you will have the opportunity to practise self-reflection through experiential learning in regular group work and in practising basic counselling skills. You will also learn about the key values and concepts of different counselling theories and techniques.
Birkbeck has been training psychodynamic counsellors and psychotherapists for over 50 years, and its courses specialise in training counsellors to work in a wide range of organisations.
