Mental Health Awareness Week (In-Person)

This year's Mental Health Awareness Week is slated for the 11th to the 17th May 2026. This year's theme is 'Action', which entreats individuals, organisations and Communities to take concrete steps towards improving Mental Health. 

Birkbeck observes the week with an event, which gives meaning to the theme and there will be an in-person and online version of the same event on Tuesday, the 12th and Thursday the 14th of May respectively. The event will involve talks on the Employee Assistance Programme and the Wisdom App, the importance of wellbeing in research and a Questions and Answers session. In attendance will be members of the HR Team, members of the Health and Safety Committee, members of the Strategic Staff Wellbeing Subcommittee, Mental Health First Aiders, Dignity at Work and Study Contacts and a representative from Health Assured’.

This in-person event takes place on Tuesday 12 May at G13.
