Birkbeck Main Building, Malet Street
On Track is Birkbeck's free two day summer programme for all new foundation and first year undergraduate students (you are expected to attend both days, if this is an issue please let us know). The programme is designed to help prepare students for life as an undergraduate at Birkbeck and is a fantastic opportunity to get to know the university, our staff and our students before starting your course.
As an On Track student, you will:
- make new friends with other students who will be starting at Birkbeck the same time as you.
- navigate the campus through interactive activities.
- hear from support services available at Birkbeck, such as Student Advice, Careers, Wellbeing, Disability and Dyslexia support.
- chat with current students at Birkbeck.
- attend advice sessions on balancing work and study, improving your study skills and digital skills you need to succeed at university.
- meet academics and learning development tutors from your school who will be teaching on your course and get practical information, advice and guidance on how to succeed in your first year.
- hear from your Birkbeck Student Union and find out about our clubs and societies.
Foundation year students will also have an opportunity to meet Laura Green, who will talk about everything you need to know as a Foundation year student with an earlier start on Thursday 16th July, 2026.
To sign up to this event, you must have accepted your offer with Birkbeck, University of London.
Please note that we are unable to support with travel or accomodation fees.
