In this introductory workshop, we look at the conventions of essay writing in Higher education in British universities. This workshop is aimed at students who are new to studying in the UK and would like to learn more about key features of academic writing and the development of an argument in essay writing.

This workshop is part of "Get Ready", a series of study skills workshops to help prepare you for the new year and new term ahead. New and prospective students, as well as enrolled students, are all welcome to join us. You may view the full list of GET READY workshops here.
This online workshop is delivered via Microsoft Teams. You will receive a confirmation in your email inbox with the Teams link after you register for the workshop, and the Teams link will go live about an hour before the start of the workshop.
