Join staff and students from Birkbeck's Climate Action Network for an hour of decompression and calm at our craft bookmark stand. In our world, we accumulate so many scrap materials that could be upcycled into something beautiful and useful. So we invite you to bring your spare fabrics, paper, pens and plastics and spend an hour in our company making them into bookmarks which you can keep forever. Some craft materials and supplies will be provided, e.g. glue, scissors, paper, pencils.
We will give those with the best three designs, as judged by our panel of Climate Action Network members, a £20 book voucher and you'll also get your bookmark featured on Birkbeck's Climate Festival materials. Even if you don't win, we hope you leave the stand feeling refreshed and more knowledgeable about how the Climate Action Network is making Birkbeck into a climate justice university.
