Abstract: This seminar provides first-hand insights into the academic journal submission and review process from the perspective of a journal editor in business and management research. The speaker will discuss how editors assess submissions, what drives desk-rejection and revision decisions, and what distinguishes papers that successfully navigate the peer-review process. The talk will offer practical guidance on positioning research for top business journals, structuring papers for impact, and responding effectively to referee reports. It will also highlight common pitfalls in submissions. This session will be valuable for PhD students and faculty members seeking a clearer understanding of editorial decision-making and publication strategies in business research.
