More than five years on from the introduction of T Levels, growing numbers of learners are choosing this post-16 pathway. With almost half of the T Level cohort progressing to higher education, this forum—the second in a series of events for university admissions and widening participation staff—aims to deepen understanding of the T Level qualification, ensure higher education admissions requirements are fair and meaningful, and explore outreach support for T Level learners. The event will also explore opportunities for future collaboration, benefiting both partner organisations and T Level students themselves.

Colleagues will hear from Suzanne Hall, Head of Sector Development at Pearson, who will set the scene with an overview of T Levels, including recent developments. Ria Bhatta, Head of Stakeholder Engagement at Pearson will then discuss setting entry requirements and making offers to T Level applicants.

We will then hand over to Jack du Pille, Head of UK Recruitment and Outreach at Middlesex University, who will share an update on their outreach work with T Level learners, including key lessons learned from developing a programme of support. This will be followed by a group discussion, inviting colleagues to reflect on their experiences of supporting T Level learners, including any challenges encountered, before collectively exploring opportunities for future collaboration.

While this forum is aimed at HE Admissions and widening participation staff, anyone interested in finding out more about T Levels and progression to HE, is very welcome to attend.
