Name It Right - A Strategic Mini-Workshop on Creating Distinctive and Defensible Brand Names

When:
Venue: Online

Book your place

Part of building a business is giving your business a name - and this can be super exciting. It's an opportunity to put your stamp on your brand.

But what if your business name landed you in a law suit a few years' down the line? Getting your name right is key, and this workshop helps you do just that.

You'll reframe brand naming as a strategic business decision, not just a creative exercise.

Through real trademark case studies, you'll learn how early naming choices affect legal risk, commercial scalability, and long-term brand value.

You'll be equipped with the awareness and confidence to approach naming with protectability in mind - making it fun, and strategic.

This is an educational and strategic session, not legal advice. This is part of the Pioneer programme, open to all participants as a bonus session.

It complements the programme’s legal IP module by showing how naming decisions intersect with trademark risk, brand strategy, and business growth.

Join one of our brilliant Pioneers this year, Diana Awudi, who will help you to:

  • Recognise why many brand names fail before reaching a lawyer
  • Spot common naming patterns that create trademark risk
  • Approach naming with distinctiveness and protectability in mind
  • View their brand name as a long-term asset, not just a label

See you online!
