Join us at the Centre for the Study of Law and Humanities to celebrate, discuss State Violence and Legal Accountability: The Wait for Justice (2025) with the author Dr Ceylan Begum Yildiz ( University of Greenwich) and Professor Tarik Kochi (University of Sussex).
State Violence and Legal Accountability illuminates how myths, spectral presences, and deeply embedded assumptions converge to expose less visible modes of state violence and how legal accountability is mobilised as a tool of power. The book discussion will be of interest to students and scholars within the field of law, politics and continental philosophy.
