In this session, you will be given an in-depth introduction to finding library resources to help with your assignments and dissertations. By the end of this session you will:

  • Know where to search for books and get the most out of the library catalogue
  • Know where to find journal articles in different places.
  • Understand how to use filters and other functions available to help improve your results.
  • Learn how to use boolean operators (AND/OR/NOT) to improve your searching.
  • Know where to go in the library to get further support.

Whether you are a new or returning student looking to improve your information finding skills, this session will provide you with the tools to find the best resources for you. This is a session suitable for students at all level of study and no prior knowledge is required.
