If you would like to record interviews for podcasts, assignments, project work or oral history research this session will cover the essentials. We will cover practical interviewing techniques, how to monitor the recording when interviewing and microphone technique. Advice can also be given on recording to professional standard for broadcast and archive collections. You will also have the opportunity to practice with the Zoom H5 digital recorders and lapel microphones that can now be borrowed from the library. Led by oral historian and head of the Immersive Learning Centre, Dr Toby Butler.
