DfE's Post-16 Level 3 and Below Consultation Forum
When:
—
Venue:
Online
In October the government published its Post-16 Education & Skills White Paper followed by the final report of the Curriculum Assessment Review. The White Paper and Review recommendations include that V Levels will replace existing level 3 vocational qualifications, including BTECs.
This will have significant implications not only for schools, colleges and for learners themselves, but also for universities, many of whom recruit significant numbers of BTEC learners.
This forum then will provide an opportunity to discuss the potential implications of these changes for both our college and university partners and contribute to our consultation response on behalf of the Linking London network, ahead of the 12th of January deadline.
On the 10th, we will be hearing from Ria Bhatta, Head of Stakeholder Engagement at Pearson, who will be outlining what we know so far about V Levels, as well as the potential impact on BTEC level 3 qualifications. We will then explore key questions in the consultation during group discussion and via feedback, collate the key points to feed into our response.
This forum is aimed at teaching staff and curriculum leads, HE admissions and outreach colleagues, careers staff, as well as anyone interested in finding out more about the DfE's plans for the 16-19 level 3 landscape.
Please note this event is for Linking London Partners only.
