Linking London HE in FE Practitioner Group Meeting
When:
—
Venue:
Online
At our second HE in FE Practitioner Group Meeting of this academic year, chaired by James Ward, Vice Principal for Higher Education at Morley College London, we will be taking a deep dive into the HE policy landscape and explore with partners both the challenges and opportunities these present, including areas for potential collaboration.
On the 5th, Dr Arti Saraswat, Senior Policy Manager for Higher Education at the Association of Colleges, will deliver a detailed overview of recent developments and look ahead to a pivotal year for further education. This comes against the backdrop of recent pledges to make further education a “defining cause of this Labour government,” the impending launch of the Lifelong Learning Entitlement and a growing emphasis on the vital role that technical education at Level 3 and above can play in meeting skills needs and driving improvements in social mobility.
Following an update from partners on college HE student numbers for this academic year we will, via group discussion, provide space to explore how we can work both individually and collaboratively for the benefit of learners and providers, in the year ahead.
These meetings are aimed at both HE in FE staff, as well as anyone with an interest in finding out more about the latest developments in the level 4 and 5 / HTQ space.
Please note this meeting is for Linking London Partners only.
