Our third Linking London IAG Practitioner Group meeting of 2025/26, aimed at careers advisers, student support staff, tutors/teachers and university outreach and admissions staff, will cover a range of topical matters, as well as providing opportunities for networking and group discussion.

On the 30th Chris Webb, podcaster and Careers Consultant at the University of Huddersfield, will be taking us on a journey through the current and emerging careers and policy landscape. Chris will be sharing his views on a range of topical matters, including the whole university v apprenticeship debate, the growing impact of AI on IAG delivery and on the looming Lifelong Learning Entitlement.

With a growing focus in the media on the value of an undergraduate degree in the jobs market and declining graduate opportunities, partners will also be hearing from Chris Rea, Head of Strategic Relationships - Prospects, Luminate and Hedd. Chris, drawing on over 30 years of experience, will share his perspectives on LMI and the current graduate labour market, including recruiter perspectives. He will also be pulling out the key headlines from a brand new joint survey with the Institute of Student Employers on graduate and employer experiences of AI.

Following a break for refreshments and an opportunity for networking, group discussion will focus on exploring areas for collaboration between our school, college and university partners.

And finally, with the ongoing debate about graduate loan repayments rumbling on, our resident expert on all things HE Finance, Ben Rutter, from the Student Loans Company, will be detailing exactly what we need to know when advising learners on loan repayments.

Meetings are aimed at Careers Advisers, Teachers and University Outreach & Admissions Staff but are open to any staff at partner institutions who are interested in IAG relating to HE progression.
