At the first Access to HE Diploma practitioner group meeting of this academic year we will be:

-exploring with colleagues how Access recruitment and enrolment is progressing to date at our partner colleges
-providing an overview of the current picture in terms of HE admissions requirements
-hearing the latest HE Finance news for Access learners planning to go on to HE
To start us off, Paul Browning, Director of Access and Higher Education at OCN London, will be providing an overview of what we know to date regarding the summer results, as well as the latest Access and OCN London news and developments.
This will be followed by our regular round table update where we will be hearing the latest news from our college and university partners, including views on recruitment and how the start of term is shaping up.
We will then be hearing from Ben Rutter, Funding Information Services Account Manager, London and East Anglia, Student Loans Company, who will be providing a detailed overview of HE Finance, as well as changes in the pipeline in terms of the imminent Lifelong Learning Entitlement.
At the meeting Linking London will also be sharing details of our latest resources aimed at Access staff and learners, including our Access Fortnight, taking place from the 13th of October.
And finally, Linking London colleagues will be sharing the key headlines from our unique report mapping entry requirements for HE applicants, comparing data from last year with Access to HE Diploma requirements for 2026 entry, including good and poor practice.
This meeting is aimed at college Access teaching staff and heads of department, student support service staff and careers advisers, as well as university outreach and admissions staff, but anyone with an interest in Access to HE Diploma developments is very welcome to attend.
