Synopsis:
Amar Bhidé will talk about how we act when we cannot rely on mechanical calculation or impulse. His new book, Uncertainty and Enterprise: Venturing Beyond the Unknown, explains how entrepreneurs justify their judgments by combining imagination and evidence. This process sustains a diverse entrepreneurial ecosystem comprising new, emerging, and mature companies that all contribute to economic dynamism and human flourishing.
Bios
Amar Bhidé is Professor of Health Policy at Columbia University Medical Center and Professor of Business Emeritus at Tufts University, has researched and taught about innovation, entrepreneurship, and finance.
Kamalini Ramdas is Deloitte Chair in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at London Business School.
Gylfi Zoega is Professor of Economics at Birkbeck, University of London and Professor of Economics at University of Iceland.
