All at Sea: Ports, islands and climate crises
When:
—
Venue:
Birkbeck 43 Gordon Square
Please note: this event is on 15 May.
Join a crew of Birkbeck' academics to discuss navigating international relations at sea. What is the fate of islands in the era of climate change and rising waters? Will either carbon taxes at sea or Trump's tariffs sink globalised shipping and ports? Can capitalism even stay afloat without free navigation? Aideen Foley, David Styan, and Alex Colas will discuss their research on these and other matters maritime. Come with questions; expect storms.
