Meet the panellists
Anna Hope is an actress, writer and author of four novels, Wake, The Ballroom, Expectation, and The White Rock, described by The Times as ‘An eco novel you actually want to read’. In 2019 Anna co-founded Letters to the Earth, a campaign responding to the climate and ecological emergency, nominated Best Campaign by Julie’s Bicycle’s Creative Green Awards. Anna is also a graduate of Birkbeck’s MA Creative Writing Programme.
Francesca Marcolini is a Communications Support Officer at TRAFFIC, a leading non-governmental organisation working to ensure that trade in wild species is legal and sustainable for the benefit of the planet and people. With a background in graphic design, Francesca is also a graduate of Birkbeck's BSc in Environmental Management and MSc in Geographic Data Science.
Jonathon Stevens is a Catchment Monitoring Officer at South East Rivers Trust, an environmental charity dedicated to achieving healthy river ecosystems for all across the South East of England. Jonathon is a graduate of Birkbeck's BSc in Environmental Science, and also has a MSc in Freshwater and Marine Ecology from Queen Mary University of London.
