Research ethics and integrity session for doctoral research students
When:
—
Venue:
Online
Please note this session is for Birkbeck Research students only.
Overview
Good research is ethical research, and is undertaken with integrity – but what does this mean and how does it relate to my PhD?
In this online session we will look to get a better understanding of the personal, pragmatic and policy factors which influence discussions around research ethics and research integrity to help you to apply this in your PhD.
Format
The session will begin with a powerpoint talk which sets the scene and highlights how the College understands these issues. The session will then open up into a discussion format, where you will have the opportunity to discuss how these questions relate to your own research programme, and learn how to answer them from new perspectives.
How to attend
This will be an online session. The meeting link will be sent when you register to attend.
Who is this session for?
Awareness of research integrity and ethical issues is crucial for all postgraduate reserachers. This session is open to all PhD students at Birkbeck but especially recommended for students in their 1st and 2nd years.
