Birkbeck's annual Teaching and Learning Conference will take place on Wednesday 22nd and Thursday 23rd May 2024.

As Birkbeck enters its third century, we look ahead at 2024 and beyond with our new Vice-Chancellor Professor Sally Wheeler, OBE, at the helm, while supporting the Vision 2021-26 Growth Project.

Within this remit, the Conference intends to explore and challenge the two following themes:

  • What does Flexible Education Look Like?
  • Artificial Intelligence – threat or opportunity?

Each day will provide an exciting mix of debates, presentations, panels, and activities led by colleagues in the Faculties and from Professional Services as well as respected guest speakers in their fields.

Reaching out to domestic and international students becomes vital to a successful future with technology at the centre of an equitable learning experience offering new programmes and courses delivered flexibly across the College.

Join the Conference by registering for a free ticket to ensure that you can share your views, asks questions and stay in touch with the Birkbeck community.

The conference will take place in Birkbeck Central and will start at 10.30am on both days in BCB 206, finishing at 5pm. More details on the programme can be found on the Teaching and Learning Conference SharePoint page.

Refreshments and lunch will be provided on both days.
