This new collection of Raphael Samuel’s writings on nineteenth-century Britain sheds important light on the political engagements and methodological commitments that influenced his path-breaking approach to history. Join us to celebrate its publication and to think about Raphael Samuel’s impact on radical history and the paths he charts for future generations of critical historians. The book will be discussed by Sally Alexander and John Merrick.
