The virtual event starts at 6.00pm. You will still need to book a ticket to receive the link; choose the online ticket option. BSL-interpreted throughout.

Join us in the beautiful Cowdray Hall at the Royal College of Nursing for a very special night of poetry and conversation. Hear the first performance of a new work by spoken word artist (and nurse) Molly Case, inspired by research on children and young people’s experiences of cancer and sickle cell disease since 1945; join researchers and nurses in discussion about childhood illness and care, past and present; and take in a brand-new exhibition on the history of children’s nursing.

This event is in partnership with the Raphael Samuel History Centre, the Royal College of Nursing Library & Archives and the ‘Age, care, and the caring crisis’ multi-disciplinary working group funded by the Birkbeck Institute for Social Research. It is part of Being Human Festival.
