The last HE in FE Practitioner Group Meeting of this academic year, chaired by Dr Andrew Gower, Chief Executive and Principal Morley College London, will focus on HTQs, alumni relations, and the distinctiveness of college HE.

We will hear from Baz Ramaiah, Head of Policy at The Centre for Education and Youth about their recent HTQs report published jointly with Policy Connect. The report makes a research-informed case for maximising the potential of HTQs to produce a workforce skilled to flourish in the 21st century economy.

We will also hear from Jeremy Samways, Managing Director of Think Alumni, who will discuss alumni management in FE, share his decade-long experience in the field, and provide some practical advice for colleagues.

Partners will then have a chance to workshop strategies for alumni engagement. We will discuss our professional and personal experiences of staying in touch with HEIs, identify different types of alumni relations, discuss the pros and cons of social media, and brainstorm alumni engagement plans actionable in colleague’s respective institutions.

Finally, Linking London will share the latest draft of our report on the distinctiveness of college HE. This will be the final opportunity for partners to shape this piece of research by offering their feedback on the report, and to share their own insights into the distinctiveness of college HE in London.

The meeting will be useful for partners keen to stay up to date and share good practice related to HE in FE. During the session, colleagues will have an chance to share news from their respective institutions, raise any questions or concerns, and suggest themes for future HE in FE practitioner group meetings.

Please note this event is for Linking London Partners only.
